Bejtë Cakaj

Bejtë Cakaj is Deputy Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Management Board at ProCredit Bank Kosovo, where he helps steer the country’s leading MSME-focused bank toward sustainable, digitally driven growth. Appointed Deputy CEO in July 2024 and to the Management Board in May 2019, he brings long-standing institutional experience and a hands-on grasp of banking transformation. Since joining ProCredit in 2009, Cakaj has advanced through key risk and operations roles—including Credit Risk Assessment coordination and a professional exchange with ProCredit Holding in Frankfurt—building a reputation for prudent risk management and scalable processes. Today, his remit spans core engine rooms of the bank: credit risk, digital channels and IT, finance, payments, and internal services. Cakaj’s leadership reflects ProCredit’s strategic priorities: financing the real economy, digitizing client experience, and elevating green and sustainable finance—positions he has articulated alongside the bank’s CEO in outreach to international business communities. He holds a degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, pairing analytical rigor with a pragmatic, execution-oriented style.
